Grant qualification and application
One of Have Stick will Travel's™ primary aims is to support those blind and partially sighted people who might otherwise find it financially difficult, to purchase technology and/or appliances that will fundamentally improve their quality of life, something we achieve through our unique match giving scheme.
The scheme is designed to help blind and partially sighted individuals purchase items such as:
- Talking computer software
- Talking watches
- Talking microwaves and hundreds of other items

Qualifying criteria and process
- Applicants must be able to provide details that they are registered blind or partially sighted (medical certification may be required)
- Grants to be awarded on a matched giving basis up to the amount of £250
- Grants must be used to purchase technology or appliances stated on the grant application form — proof of purchase may be required
- Grant applications will not be accepted for travel expenses and/or for business use
- In some instances, applicants may be asked to appear for a face to face interview with the Grant panel if more information is sought
- All grant approvals and declines will be made quarterly (March, June, September and December) through evaluation of the stipulated qualifying criteria and by committee majority vote
- The committee decision is final and all grant applicants will be notified of the outcome of their grant application within one calendar month of the decision.
