One of Have Stick Will Travels key objectives is to work in partnership with local businesses, community groups, schools and large corporate organisations to educate them on blind awareness and interacting with blind and visually impaired individuals.
We offer a range of talks and training sessions to suit all requirements, however, to give you some idea, here's a taste of what we can cover:
- We help fill the gaps in people's education regarding disabled members of the community with particular focus on the blind and visually impaired.
- We'll home in on the ways to treat, greet, and behave towards unsighted people, including how to assist them. This could be as simple as offering a guiding arm, helping them to seating or through helping them complete written forms or use a cashpoint.
- Alternatively, if you already have a disability training programme in place, have you considered an unsighted speaker? The Charity's Founder, Daniel Gallimore would be willing to follow any criteria, answer any impromptu questions and generally help your group/employees.
- Training costs are negotiable
