Daniel, who lost his sight at the age of 21 following a tragic criminal assault in 1996, spent a number of years coming to terms with his blindness, discovering a new way of living his life and making the most of the opportunities life has to give.
As a result, Daniel founded Have Stick Will Travel in 2002 and the charity has gone from strength to strength, supporting a number of local blind and partially sighted people enabling them to improve their quality of life through purchasing technology and/or blind friendly appliances, as well as educating businesses, schools and other local groups on 'blind awareness'.
Help blind and partially sighted people purchase technology and/or appliances that will fundamentally improve their quality of life.
Work in partnership with local businesses and large corporate organisations to educate them on blind awareness and the wider needs of visually impaired employees.
Raise public awareness of the Charity and it's support for blind and partially sighted people living in the Bristol area.
Organise and run fundraising for the Charity through events, sponsorships and private donations.
